Posted June 25, 2018 17:59:37 A couple from Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales are enjoying a day out on the country on holiday.
The couple, who have two dogs and two cats, say they have enjoyed every minute of their three-day excursion in Greece.
They took a flight from Sydney to Athens via Athens International Airport and a ferry to Thessaloniki on their return trip.
“We were lucky enough to be able to do the train to Athens, and then to Theres and then the ferry,” said the wife, Amanda.
It was a very relaxing time, the wife said.
When they arrived back in Melbourne, Amanda said she was amazed to find that they had spent almost all of their money on food.
She said the couple were lucky to have a car.
In Greece, the family was given a bus and they boarded the train at the train station at 8:30am.
Amanda said it was a wonderful experience and it was great to get a glimpse of Greece’s capital.
A friend and I were on a train from Athens to Thebes, and we got on the train for about five minutes and we sat there for two hours waiting for the train.
It was really lovely to be in a different part of Greece,” she said.
The family were also lucky to catch a glimpse at the iconic Pantheon, which sits on top of the Greek pyramids.
After the journey, they took a ferry back to Sydney and made their way to The Harbour Bridge, which overlooks the Pyramids.
The couple said they enjoyed the views and were in good spirits as they headed back to Melbourne.
While the couple did not expect to spend the night on a boat, they decided to spend their days on the beach in Greece for the night.
The beach is open to the public from June 23 until July 1, Amanda says.
This is their third trip to Greece, and they plan to do it again in the future.
