Beach babes are a growing trend on Long Beach, and the number of girls seeking their services has been rising.
In a recent article for The Irish Tribune, author Heather Haddon writes: “There is something so tantalizingly appealing about the idea of a bikini clad blonde bombshell sitting in front of you on a beach in a bathing suit.”
“We are in the era of the bikini and the long bikini, of the long-legged blonde bikini clad beauty who can’t quite keep her legs closed and looks the part.
We’ve been given the tools to dress up our own bodies and have taken the responsibility for doing so.”
According to a recent report in The New York Times, beach babes now make up about 10% of beach-goers.
“These girls are a dime a dozen,” says Lina Kroll, author of “Beach Babe: How to Be a Beach Bikini Babe.”
She adds that they are not a stereotype.
“They are very confident.
They have all the money and everything, but they are kind of a down to earth person,” she says.
Kroll’s own bikini-clad body is an example of how many young women are attracted to the idea that a bikini-wearing beauty can provide a sense of security and independence.
“I feel a lot of insecurity when I’m with girls and I want to know that they don’t have to worry about me,” she told The Irish Press.
But what does it take to be a beach babe?
How long do you have to be to be considered one?
And what can you expect from a bikini babe?
“I think you need to have some kind of athletic background,” says Haddon.
“You have to have a lot more than a high school diploma.
You need to be able to stand out, you need the personality, you have the confidence and you have good physical attributes.”
There are a lot to consider, she says, and a lot going on in the bikini.
“There’s an element of freedom, and also a bit of restraint,” she explains.
“Some of them have been through things that I wouldn’t have considered, and you can kind of see the journey that they’ve gone through.”
There is a lot you can learn from a beach babe.
Haddon says the bikini-babe’s biggest challenge is that it requires a lot from her.
“It’s really important to make sure you’re comfortable with who you are and what you’re doing,” she tells The Irish Reporter.
“The bikini is a very powerful tool and it can be used in so many different ways, but it can also be used for a lot different things.”
How to choose the right bikini?
Haddon suggests that you first check to see if a bikini is available for rent in your area.
“If you’re going to go on a trip and you’re staying in a big beach resort, you might want to consider the option of renting a bikini.
The bikini’s versatility is something that you can put into use with the other things you’re planning on doing.
If you want to do yoga, a bikini might be a better option than a traditional swimsuit,” she adds.
If a bikini doesn’t suit you, you can try out a couple of different styles.
“For example, I have a number of different types of bikini, so I’m always looking for something that suits me,” says Kroll.
The same goes for a bikini if you want a more modest look.
“In some cases, it’s a good idea to wear a bikini and wear it in a bikini, but if you do, you’re really going to have to wear it at a certain angle,” says she.
“Sometimes you can do a really skinny and tight bikini, sometimes you want something with a little bit more room,” she laughs.
“But you need a certain level of flexibility and a certain amount of freedom.
It needs to be something that’s flexible enough that you’re able to wear this with your other clothes.”
You can also use the bikini as a fashion statement.
“Be the beach babe!
You know, don’t be afraid to be different,” she advises.
“Maybe you want the perfect bikini, maybe you want your bikini to be completely bare and don’t wear anything on it, and maybe you don’t want to look like a beach bum.”
And don’t let your body be dictated by a bikini—there are so many other ways to make yourself look good.
“A bikini is really about confidence, so it’s really about showing off what you have,” says Bunnings owner Karen Wiederhauser.
So for example, if you’re not feeling confident in your bikini, then it’s important to find a bikini
