The Beach Boys will be playing in Long Beach on Sunday, June 3, as they prepare for their annual beach party at Redondo Beach, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
The band will perform from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a statement on the department’s Facebook page.
The event is open to the public and is free to attend, the statement said.
The band is the first of its kind in California and is expected to draw in thousands of people.
“The band has been able to create an incredible atmosphere for the community of Long Beach by bringing together musicians, comedians, artists and community members,” Sheriff Joe Lombardo said in a statement.
This is the band’s second time performing in California, in 2017 at Redmond Beach.
In March, the band played at the San Francisco Civic Center, according to the Long Beach City Council.
A red carpet for the band is scheduled for June 3 at the city’s Civic Center from 4 p. m. to 7 p. k time.
